Elisabeth Dido Belle was my muse for designing my own Rococo costume. Although life was very hard on her, she never gave up and stood her ground.
Rococo is one of the most, if not the most fascinating period of time in costume history. Skirts of 4m width and haircuts of 1m high were no exception. I absolutely wanted to integrate the 'la belle poule' hairstyle. Who doesn’t want a ship rising a solid 1.5m above their head?
